					<description>In 1986, I attended the Utrecht Verdenburg performance of this opera (with Jose van Dam), Messiaen sitting in the audience. "Light lunch was served at the breaks"... Being quite young then, I was both mesmerized and bored at the same time. Later, I learned to value this kind of music. Lust like James Joyce or Goethe, you don't read it every day, but when you do, it enriches your life....
